I visited Salt Creek Beach on 09/26/2011 at 4:30 p.m.  The air temperature was 67 degrees and the water temperature was between 64 and 66 degrees.  Scattered clouds were noted but the sun was shining brightly.  It was breezy with winds from the west at 5-9 kts.  The ocean conditions were noted to be choppy.  The swell was a small combo of NW (290-300) swell-mix, up slightly and small Southerly groundswell prevailed in the afternoon.  The tides for the day were noted to be medium to medium high.  Overall the conditions seemed to be perfect for surfers.  I noticed approximately 40-50 surfers out in the ocean.  On the beach there were several joggers and approximately 20-30 people enjoying beach activities.  Two boats were noted out in the distance.  I noticed a few birds but no other animals.
