I visited Salt Creek Beach on 10/31/2011 at 3:50 p.m.  The air temperature today was 63 degrees and the water temperature was between 61 and 63 degrees.  The sky was clear; it was a bright sunny day.  The winds were westerly at 7 kts.  The ocean was noted to be rippled.  The swell was S to SW, a couple of feet overhead.  The tide was medium to medium high.  The beach itself was pretty quiet, but then again, it is Halloween.  I noticed only 3 people on the beach itself.  There were approximately 10 surfers in the water.  No boats were seen today.  There were some seagulls overhead and many birds on the beach.  It looked to be the perfect conditions for catching a wave.
